Carafelli Healthcare Consulting & Management (“Carafelli Healthcare”) is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and this statement describes where we stand today rather than a finished destination.
Conformance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This site is substantially conformant with that standard, meaning most of the site meets it and the exceptions we are aware of are listed below.
This assessment is based on our own review of the site rather than a formal third‑party audit. We have not engaged an independent accessibility auditor, and we would rather say so plainly than imply a level of certification we do not hold.
What we have done
The following measures are in place across the site:
- Keyboard access. Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and a visible focus indicator shows where you are.
- Skip to content. A skip link is the first thing a keyboard or screen reader user reaches, so the navigation can be bypassed on every page.
- Meaningful structure. Pages use real headings, landmarks and lists so assistive technology can navigate them, and each page declares its language.
- Text alternatives. Images carry descriptive alternative text; images that are purely decorative are hidden from assistive technology rather than announced.
- Labelled forms. Every field on the contact form has a programmatically associated label, and errors are described in text rather than by colour alone.
- Colour and contrast. Text is intended to meet the 4.5:1 contrast minimum against its background, and colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Reduced motion. Animation and transitions are suppressed for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
- Responsive layout. Content reflows to a single column on small screens and can be zoomed to 200% without loss of information or horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following, and are working on them:
- No independent audit. Our conformance claim is self‑assessed. A third‑party review may identify issues we have missed.
- Documents. Any PDF or other document offered for download may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need a document in an accessible format, contact us and we will provide one.
- Third‑party content. Where the site links to services we do not control — including our secure client portal and any embedded third‑party tools — we cannot guarantee their accessibility, though we raise issues with those providers when we find them.
- Older material. Articles published before this statement may not yet meet every criterion above.
